Now, students can gain both undergraduate and graduate degrees in a variety of arts and sciences programmes including pharmacy, civil engineering and architecture.

In the near future, the university aims to add other disciplines, including medicine, interior design and graphic design.

Aqaba University of Technology bases its courses around different types of learning. The main bulk of teaching occurs in the classroom but the university also encourages students to apply their skills to the real world by finding voluntary work in their sector. The university forms partnerships with businesses in the region to help facilitate internships for its students.

The university often opens its doors to the local region by hosting seminars, lectures, meetings and activities.

On campus, students will find accommodation with spacious rooms. There is also a large library containing almost 30,000 books, periodicals and references.
