The 'key' to failure

Hopes of winning the Eurovision Song Contest were dashed last Saturday when the British entry failed to score any points. The song, Cry Baby, was penned by Martin Isherwood, head of music at the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts, and performed by Liverpool-based duo Jemini, with backing vocals by Lipa students. Mr Isherwood said there was nothing wrong with his song, adding: "I'm going to do an academic research study on the correlation between a country's international standing and how they do in the Eurovision Song Contest."
