The largest university in South Australia, this institution was formed in 1991 following the merger of the South Australian Institute of Technology and the Magill, Salisbury and Underdale campuses of the South Australian Colleges of Advanced Education. In 1993 it established the Australian Technology Network with Queensland University of Technology in Brisbane, Curtin University in Perth, RMIT University in Melbourne and the University of Technology, Sydney. It now has more than 33,000 students, 6,000 of whom are international, enrolled across its 400 degree programmes.
