Founded in 1908, University of British Columbia, commonly referred to as UBC, is home to almost 60,000 students. Its two main campuses are situated in Vancouver and in Kelowna in the Okanagan Valley. It also provides clinical education to Faculty of Medicine students at 75 health care facilities across British Columbia and has regional offices in Hong Kong, New Delhi, India, and Lille, France to facilitate research partnerships. It boasts seven Nobel prize winners, two Canadian prime ministers and 65 Olympic medals among its alumni.
