About Chung-Ang University

Chung-Ang University (CAU), established in 1916, is a private institution with 2 campuses in Seoul and Anseong of South Korea. Since its establishment, CAU has upheld its ideal of “Truth and Justice”, which is also the institution’s motto.

CAU’s 2 campuses house 15 undergraduate colleges and 17 graduate schools, including an AACSB-accredited College of Business and Economics. CAU offers a range of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, and is recognised as a national leader in the fields of pharmacy, culture and art education.

Also a very globalized institution, CAU has over 600 partner universities around the world, and receives approximately 1,000 exchange students annually. With a 5-year government funding of 4 million dollars, CAU strives to keep providing students with knowledge and open-mindedness to bring about harmony in the nation and the world.

Its artistic prowess puts CAU at the forefront of the Korean culture wave, which has recently gained global prominence. It has been the educator of South Korean culture icons, including the actor “Choi Wooshik” from the film “Parasite (2019)”, as well as photographer Kim Kyung-hoon, winner of the Pulitzer Prize in 2019.

A convivial spirit is cultivated at the university through the annual summer student festival ‘LUCAUS’ – an acronym of ‘Let's Unite CAUs’.
