THE Leadership and Management Awards 2013 winners

Hard graft, creativity and a steady nerve are among the essential qualities for those leading our higher education institutions at a time of uncertainty and rapid change.

Fortunately, all three traits are in plentiful supply, and the Times Higher Education Leadership and Management Awards 2013 recognise some of the best examples of both individual and team excellence across the spectrum. All of them are testament to a determination to ensure that our universities and colleges continue to prosper despite the many and varied challenges they face.

Sincere congratulations from everyone at THE to all of our winners, and indeed to all of those who made it on to the shortlists.
