Students, and even academics, looking for a hangover cure need look no further than the pub, scientists suggest. Neuroscientists from the University of Southampton's School of Biological Sciences found that withdrawal symptoms from a night on the tiles could be eased by small amounts of alcohol - although this could also increase dependency. The researchers used 1mm long transparent worms - which react to alcohol in similar ways to humans - to reach their conclusions.
