Research Grants

Deadline: 01/04/2006

The Lord Dowding Fund offers financial support for a wide range of scientific and educational projects which are aimed at replacing the use of laboratory animals. In order to successfully apply for a grant, an applicant must be able to clearly demonstrate how the proposed research will impact on the use of animals in a particular field(s). The applicant must be able to give examples of the kinds of research that their non-animal techniques are designed to replace, and to be able to give an estimate of the numbers of animals which would normally be involved.
