Technical University of Denmark

Inspired by Paris' ole Polytechnique, Denmark's oldest technical college, dating from 1829, is home to around 6,000 students today, of whom some 2,800 are working on PhDs. The Danish government covers tuition fees, leaving students to pay living expenses estimated at 400 a month. On campus are 24 departments and institutes, including the National Institute of Aquatic Resources.
