Bournemouth University - Hearing for overruled professor

Paul Buckland, a professor who resigned last year after Bournemouth University overruled his decision to fail 13 students, is taking his former employer to an industrial tribunal. After Professor Buckland failed the archaeology undergraduates in 2006 - a decision that was confirmed by a second marker and the board of examiners - the university appointed a third marker, who upgraded ten of the 13 students to a pass. Professor Buckland is claiming constructive dismissal, alleging that the university breached its contract with him by acting in a manner likely to destroy his confidence in his employer. Bournemouth denies the claims.
