Human Physiology
Human Physiology. Author Dee Unglaub Silverthorn. Edition Fourth. Publisher Pearson Education. Pages 816. Price £49.99. ISBN 9780321541383.
Another alternative to the book mentioned above. It also has interspersed boxes with "clinical focus" and "running problems" which are useful and interesting.
Who is it for? "Students" (unidentified by the author).
Presentation - Useful chapter tabs and summaries but also the inevitable small print for the index.
Any extras? Interactive physiology CD-Rom and access to the revised companion website.
Would you recommend it? Not for an in-depth medical course but sufficient for biomedical students and others who need some physiological understanding.
