The UK Research Councils invite outline research proposals that address the vision and objectives for the Basic Technology Programme. The Programme aims to realise progress being made in scientific understanding for a variety of potential applications to underpin the next generation of tools, techniques and systems. The budget available is up to £30 million, to meet 80 per cent of the full economic cost of conducting the research.
